The difference between soft washing and power washing comes down to pressure used and cleaning method. Soft washing uses low pressure with a biodegradable cleaning solution to break down dirt, algae, mold, and mildew. It is the proper cleaning method for materials that can't withstand pressure (or would be damaged with pressure) like roofs, siding, stucco, etc. Power washing is a necessary cleaning method on harder surfaces like concrete, brick, stone, pavers, etc. It is ideal for removing organic growth on hard surfaces, degreasing, etc. Organic growth on hard surfaces is still pre-treated biodegradable cleaning solution to eliminate organic growth at the root for better results and longevity. Grease and other surface stains often are in need of unique chemicals, along with pressure and often hot water, to fully remove the stains from the surface.
